Before we get into the macros, you need a few things.

Mod >> a must have!!
new mod called “combustionhelper”.  Its a handy little meter to monitor all the things below and tells you when to hit combustion.  yeah its awesome to help get max dps.

Glyphs.
1. Pyroblast
2. Frostfire bolt
3. Living Bomb
4. Fireball
5. The rest are whatever your personal style and preferances.

Spirit – is no longer required on a mage, so change it to HASTE or MASTERY.  Hit, Int and Haste are top stats now.    Hit cap to about 420 it looks like, then Haste. I wouldnt regem to all haste, I have to research ow much int vs haste we want, but as for spirit on gear, do the reforging to haste or mastery if haste is not an option.

You need 4 buttons now as follows;.

1. Opening
2. FrostFireBolt/Firebolt Rotation
3. Pyro plus
4. Combustion.

1. Opening

*I have done an interesting thing here; I set it to reset in 3 seconds.  If you are not using this button, it resets. you can play with it if resets too fast for you, perhaps try 4 or 5, but I prefer it to reset fast. Because spam this off fast, then start spamming the next button.

*same thing here, fast reset if not used.  I have both FFB and FB in this rotation. Why?   FFB with Glyph stacks 3 times, so then I fill with FB, just in case my Pyro has not proced yet.  I have tried more FB, but more than 5 in the rotation just seems to take to long to get back to FFB when you need it.

When you get the Procs, that is instant pryro/no mana cost proc, hit this macro
*this is pretty much one of my old school macros.  I casts Pyro, and will pop your trinks, and even FireBlast if off of CD.  its all helps.   the SFX stuff turns off that annoying voice about spell not ready if they are on CD.

4. Combustion.

This is used when all things are green on the meter, when you have it all in order, such ignite up, pyro up , FFB up and stacked, you then add combustion,  its a beatiful thing to see that DPS climb.
*you can remove the ice lance spell on the last line or just use the regular combus button.  Or try adding another instant cast spell. ice lance is the only thing im not already using, and ever little bit helps.

Keep in mind, the rot is priority now, so its a constant battle to keep FBB stacked, ignite up and launch pyro when proced, and add combustion when all is GREEN.  The key is to watch the combustion meter mod, have it in plain site as you will be watching this as much as the fight. keep all things up and green, and happy mashing!   I was hurting badly after switcing to fire, and after the above changes, I doubled my DPS from 3k to 6k. Not earth shattering for T10 gear, but I am seeing many 13k crits in my rot.  so its step in the right direction now.  -JO

*whatever you want to add in a special spell, typically trinkets or those with long CD’s add those in at bottom of macro as below.  The function is to turn off the “not ready yet” voice reminder for your specials.  Trinket sockets are 13,14   if you add /use 13 for example it will pop the top trinket [slot 13] when off of cool down.

you may have to play with the order, something changed for macro mechanics in 4.01 patch, not sure how far down this list it reads, sometimes it will pop on second click but never first.  This behavior is unknown as to what the cause is, doing the research will update when I get it figured out.

Note: you need to have seal on at start for this to fire, remember it judges first then resets and judges, so just cast seal of truth before you start battle.

Function;  as noted earlier, it wont work unless you have a seal on before or start of attack, it judges to pull at range, or works as normal seal+judge for damage at close range.  Its your range weapon of sorts.

On the quick look…..

Unholy DK; Slight nerf for 80+.

Holy Paly’s;  again looks like some nerfing for healing output.  Bliz wants reduce output of spamming HL, and go back to spamming FOL.  Mana regen may be nurfed even more.

Guess we just adapt, but for the high level holy paly gear, its not looking that special.  T8 looks to be best for best utility healing.

Blizzard has dungeon maps and is looking to replace cartographer and Carbonite, with their spin on it.  They typically are very watered down.

And upon first load after downloading this huge patch, turn off all your addons.  Some changes to the hooks and server side have beem implmented. I can only assume that means lots of errors until mods are updated.

Patch doesnt like firewalls, turn it off. Be sure to have your AntiVirus updated before doing this.

Healing macros I have on my top middle bar.

Rule #1 – You are a direct healer, for tanks and off tanks.

When in group – Beacon and Sacred shield – always!

Rule #1. You are not a raid healer!  But sometime you will have to play that role in 5man runs.

Cast beacon on tank (and always keep sacred shield on tank or off tank) (some mods will be great help to notify you)  and raid heal away, keep beacon on tank, should never have to heal him that much.

When it gets messy,  cast beacon on self, and heal tank, and others when possible. You never die, and a healer that is alive is a good thing.

Never run out of mana,  so go conservitive if you have to, dont heal unless required, always keep tank up. If the tank is not well geared, then you have a challenge to keep him up, and other two,  beacon self, and heal the hell out of tank, and pop shock or fol on members when you can. A dead tank is a dead raid/group, and a dead healer is a dead tank and a dead raid/group. (the reason for beaconing self)

Somewhere you upper middle bars I run these.

f. 911 heal (great for huge burst heal, I mix it into rotation whenever CD’s are off, and for fast burst heals when tank just got a huge hit)
